Born in 1967 and brought up within the beautiful countryside of Worcestershire was a great start to life. Living close to the Malvern Hills and the Cotswolds gave me an early fascination for higher altitudes and the exotic wilderness.

My wanderlust could not be suppressed. In my late teens, I set off from England's shores to work and travel abroad. For five years, I had the pleasure of living amongst some of the most spectacular scenery in Europe, from the mountainous areas of Central Europe and Scandinavia to the flatter aridity of the Mediterranean.

Unlike the stressed tourist on a schedule, I could see the changes to the landscapes and cloudscapes throughout the seasons. Through the passing of time, the memory reduces the visual elements to the bare minimum - some would say in an unrealistic way. That is how I see and make my images. It is not a mechanical thing. It has to come from the heart. The scenes I record give me a glow. I hope the viewer experiences a similar sensation.

The images have been exhibited over the past eight years and are held in private collections within the U.K, France, Japan and South Korea. I have been inspired by various types of media - films, music videos, the work of Anton Corbijn and Shinzo Maeda, Jimi Hendrix, the literature of Laurie Lee and Hermann Hesse, also European Impressionism and Oriental art.

For all the camera nutcases ... (!!!) ... here are the itty-gritty technical details!
Most of the site content was shot with various lenses from 20mm to 105mm, plus studio flash when I needed some extra sparkle!

My favourite B+W films are the Fujifilm Neopan range and infra-red emulsions. For colour work, I have found the best films to be Fujifilm Reala 100, PRO S and Superia 1600. I also dabble with and consult on digital photography/Photoshop but refuse to debate over what is better - each working method has their own merits and advantages.

Travelled through 21 countries, worked in 5, cycled through 10, hosted 11 exhibitions - wonderful experiences, colours and memories!
